Mr. Anirban Ghosh

Anirban Ghose is the co-founder of TRI (Transform Rural India), an organization dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by India's rural poor. Since 1995, Mr. Ghose has been actively engaged at the grassroots level, developing a deep understanding of the complex issues affecting rural communities. In his role at TRI, Mr. Ghose leads the integration of all organizational activities. His responsibilities encompass a wide range of crucial areas, including program planning and implementation, progress monitoring, system development, strategy design, staff development, and management of key grants. Mr. Ghose is widely recognized for his innovative approaches to rural development. He has been instrumental in expanding the scope of engagement with women's collectives beyond traditional financial services and livelihood programs. Notably, he pioneered the implementation of automated book-keeping systems in women's self-help groups. His expertise extends to various aspects of rural development, including community-managed irrigation, natural resource-based livelihoods, and the application of technology to create opportunities for improved living standards among rural populations. Mr. Ghose has been at the forefront of numerous initiatives leveraging technology to empower rural communities. Prior to establishing TRI, Mr. Ghose was a key member of the leadership team at PRADAN, one of India's leading non-profit organizations focused on rural transformation.
