Shri Yogesh Kumar, an IAS officer from the 2010 batch, hails from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He holds an MA and M.Phil in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). During his tenure as Additional Commissioner of Rural Development and MGNREGA, he focused on providing employment to migrant workers and enhancing women participation through specialized efforts by introducing MGNREGA Mahila Mates in the state. He has also served as Special Secretary, Horticulture, and is currently the Special Secretary in the Home and Gopan Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Kumar brings a wealth of experience and a visionary perspective, offering invaluable insights on development.
