Ms. Usha Vishwakarma is the founder of the Red Brigade, a non-profit organization based in Lucknow, dedicated to empowering women through self-defense training and awareness programs. The Red Brigade's training program, called Nishastrakala, combines elements from multiple martial arts to empower women to defend themselves swiftly and effectively. Usha and her team also conduct awareness campaigns, street plays, and workshops to educate women about their rights and self-defense. They focus on reaching young girls and women, providing legal assistance, and supporting survivors of sexual violence. The Red Brigade now has over 8,500 members across the country.
