The India Rural Colloquy is more than just talk, it’s about building a thriving rural India together. The India Rural Colloquy (IRC) is a platform where YOU can discuss, co-create, and drive impactful actionable solutions for India's rural renaissance.
We bring together thought leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and YOU to ignite dynamic discussions, inspire action, and build a more vibrant rural future.
Every year the India Rural Colloquy is hosted during the August Kranti week as call to action to remind people that India cannot truly flourish unless WE ALL march TOGETHER as ONE to help India become a flourishing economy.
Beyond the Nation’s Capital
For the second year in a row, we will have events but beyond New Delhi with conversations and discussions happening in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Uttar Pradesh. We believe strongly that real change happens on the ground. That is why we want to amplify local voices and ground-level experiences in our effort to help spark actionable ideas and solutions that help rural India flourish.

The 4th edition of the India Rural Colloquy will delve deep into the latest trends and big ideas shaping rural India. Explore topics like inclusive AI, building community care ecosystems, and design-led rural development.
Why do we hold the India Rural Colloquy during the week of August Kranti?
We choose to host this exciting confluence during the Quit India Movement week. During August Kranti back in 1942 India decided to rise up in a peaceful movement to force the British to quit their rule of India. This monumental week echoes the quest of gaining dignity for all.
So the India Rural Colloquy draws inspiration from this mass movement. Because today India cannot truly progress as a world leader if it leaves two-thirds of its people – who live in its rural heartlands – behind. We want to join forces with those who are passionate about ensuring everyone, even the most marginalized, is free to access all opportunities so we can all become better versions of ourselves. We believe a rural renaissance is possible. And we want YOU to join us in exploring how we can make it happen.
