Anish Kumar is a pivotal leader in rural transformation, co-founding Transform Rural India (TRI) in 2016 and driving public policy and government partnerships. Beginning his distinguished career in 1994 with PRADAN, he has significantly shaped TRI’s strategy and institutional foundations, managing resource mobilization, compliance, and stakeholder linkages. Anish excels in creating business enterprises for impoverished communities and integrating small-holder farmers into modern value chains. He developed the pioneering small-holder poultry model and expanded it as CEO of the first poultry cooperative. Anish serves on the National Smallholder Poultry Development Trust board and has influenced national policies for disadvantaged farmers. He holds a postgraduate degree in Forest Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal.
