Mr. L.M. Belwal, also known as Lalit Mohan Belwal, is a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer who served as the CEO of the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (MPSRLM). He hails from Almora district in Uttarakhand and holds a Master’s degree in Botany​. Throughout his career, Mr. Belwal has been deeply involved in initiatives aimed at improving rural livelihoods and supporting sustainable development. His work with MPSRLM focused on creating value chains for key tree species to diversify and enhance income opportunities for rural communities. He has also been instrumental in establishing self-help groups in over 500 villages to support households below the poverty line​.
