Shyamal Santra, Associate Director and Lead-Health & Nutrition at Transform Rural, co-designed ‘Neighbourhoods of Care’ (NoC) and led the Aspirational District Fellowship (ADF) and Health System Transformation Fellowship (HSTF) programs. He co-created the ‘Jharkhand Integrated Development of Health and Nutrition’ (JIDHAN), a community-centric emergency healthcare response to COVID-19, and helped establish the ‘Mamta Vahan-Call Centre,’ facilitating the transport of over 2 million pregnant women. He also co-founded the Bharat Health Fund, supporting small private hospitals in rural India, and designed MISSION ANANDI for decentralized cancer care. Named a ‘2021-Changemaker’ by Thomson Reuters Foundation, his work has been featured in Bloomberg. A postgraduate in Development Management with fellowships from SRTT and training from American Express Leadership Academy and Harvard, he writes for leading magazines and collaborates with academic institutions to support rural healthcare innovation
