Vijay Mahajan, Secretary & CEO of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, is a renowned rural development professional, social entrepreneur, and policy analyst. He founded the NGO Pradan and the Basix Social Enterprise Group. He has also served on the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India, Rangarajan Committee on Financial Inclusion and Raghuram Rajan Committee on Financial Sector Reforms. With over 20 papers in prestigious journals and contributions to 15 academic books, his expertise spans rural development, microfinance, and social innovations. An alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Delhi, he was also a mid-career Fellow at Princeton University, USA.
