Prof. Satish Agnihotri

Head CTARA, IIT Mumbai

Dr. Satish B. Agnihotri, formerly a career bureaucrat, is now a Professor at IIT Bombay’s CTARA. He retired as Secretary (Coordination & Public Grievances) in the Cabinet Secretariat, where he also held key roles including Secretary (Security) and Chairman of the National Chemical Weapons Authority. Previously, he was Secretary of the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy. His extensive career includes positions such as Director General (Acquisition) in the Ministry of Defense, Additional Secretary cum Financial Adviser in the Ministry of Agriculture, and Director General of Shipping in Mumbai. Dr. Agnihotri holds an M.Tech from IIT Bombay and a Ph.D. from the University of East Anglia. His acclaimed research focuses on child malnutrition, declining sex ratios in India, and renewable energy. He is also an author of satire and science fiction in Hindi.
