Shri Shrashtant Patara, CEO of Development Alternatives (DA), is a renowned social technocrat focused on social innovation since 1988. He has led sustainability initiatives like “Work4Progress,” HSBC’s “Entrepreneurship for Empowerment,” and Rockefeller Foundation’s “Smart Power for Rural Development.” Mr. Patara is a Fellow of The Rockefeller Foundation, has served on the Indo-German Expert Group on Green and Inclusive Economy, and is a jury member for the SEED Awards. He established the Indian Micro Enterprises Development Foundation and “TARAurja.” An architect by training, he is currently pursuing an M.Phil. in Inclusive Innovation at the University of Cape Town.
