We choose to host this exciting confluence during the Quit India Movement week. During August Kranti back in 1942, India decided to rise up in a peaceful movement to force the British to quit their rule of India. This monumental week echoes the quest of gaining dignity for all.
So the India Rural Colloquy draws inspiration from this mass movement. Because today India cannot truly progress as a world leader if it leaves two-thirds of its people, who live in its rural heartlands, behind.
